Grupo emi is the leading provider of pre-hospital medical care with presence in Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Panamá, Uruguay and Venezuela. The company is committed with its affiliates to provide a warm, friendly and personal treatment. The main services offered by Grupo emi are emergency medical care, general medical consultation, pediatric scheduled consultation and ambulance transfer, among others.
Emi origins dates back to 1979, in Uruguay, where emergency coronary heart care were offered. Later, responding to the needs of its patients, the company started to offer a broad portfolio of health solutions inside the patients residence, with the best medical quality available, and a friendly and personalized treatment.
In 2007, trough a consolidation play of several pre-hospital medical care companies directed by Tribeca, Grupo emi was formed, establishing itself as the largest network in Latin America in its industry.
Four years later, Tribeca exited its investment in Grupo emi after a sale of 63% of the holding company to Falck, the Denmark based company leader in assistance, emergency, healthcare and training. This transaction was the second successful exit by Tribeca Asset Management.
